SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

Also Present: Christina Mailhos, First Selectman; Donna Latincsics, Business Manager; members of the public.


Chairman Jim Bulick called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.

SEATING OF ALTERNATES

John Patton motioned to seat Annemarie Poole for Robert Wiecenski.  Peter Tanaka seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.


PRESENT TO SPEAK – no one


NEW BUSINESS  


Auditor meeting concerning purchase orders.
Auditor meeting concerning year end closing practices.

        The auditor was unable to attend due to a medical emergency.

Fact finding sub-committee discussion.

John Patton spoke to FOI Attorney Lisa Siegal and was informed that an agenda does not have to be filed if there is just fact finding.  If decisions and proposals are to be discussed an agenda needs to be filed for a meeting to be called so that the public is allowed to attend.  Enough notice must be given to the recording secretary so that the Agenda can be filed (before the close of business the day before the meeting).  The meeting will be recorded and minutes will be filed.

State Budget update and impact to Willington discussion

Only have received proposals – no other updates.
